Quickie Post

Fly Fishing General, Uncategorized

Howdy,

Just a quick post here to let you all know I haven’t disappeared from the face of the earth. Fact is, things are a little crazy in my life lately.

If you watch the “Spawn Countdown”, you’ll see that we have entered the “any day now” phase of the pregnancy. I can’t wait to meet him or her!

Fishing (time permitted) has been very good. Trout are loading up on anything they can find to eat – nymphs, larva, October Caddis, Midges and the last of the mayflies!  The native Cutthroat are becoming especially aggressive.  Also have a growing pod of steelies (and silvers) staging in the main river waiting for the Little North to get more water.

Native Cutthroat took the recently completed "Yak Caddis" on the 1st Cast

Working with Derek Young on another pattern – a variation of the Yak Caddis.

There just aren’t enough hours in the day!

Get out there and fish!

Tight Lines,

Dave
